What a stunning winter wedding at Dodford Manor this was. Absolutely beautiful bride, a very handsome groom and fun guests. It made for a great wedding day.
This is a venue we know extremely well and it is always great to be back there and to see familiar faces. Winter weddings run a higher risk of not so great weather. However Laura and Adam must have put a big tick on the to-do list as we had beautiful blue skies and sunshine.
Laura decided to stay at the beautiful Fawsley Hall Hotel the night before. She had her bridesmaids getting ready with her in one of the large suites which meant there was plenty of space. Always a consideration when you have a lot of bridesmaids!
Her dress was incredible. She looked absolutely stunning in it. The designer of the dress is Eliza Jane Howell and it came from Fairytale Weddings in Towcester.
Kev went across to the couple’s home to capture of few photos of Adam and the guys getting ready. Adam had a suit from Reiss and added his trademark cap, he just wouldn’t have looked right without it!!
The Old Camper Company
Laura had chosen The Old Camper Company as transport to the venue and they went above and beyond when there was a hiccup with the other transport that had been organised. A big shout out to the staff at Fawsley too as they helped with this.
You will see the beautiful bouquet that Laura was carrying and this was from Garden of Weedon who had also done all the other amazing floral displays and lot of the venue decor.
The ceremony was conducted by the lovely Jane from Northamptonshire Registrars. She added her usual snippets of humour which made the ceremony all that bit more personal. Adam just about held it together when Laura walked down the aisle with her Dad.
After the ceremony the barn was cleared so that drinks could be served. The talented duo Mango Acoustic entertained the guests while we captured some family photos, some requested fun photos of the bridal party (check out those jumps!) and the couple portraits. We were losing the light but managed to capture all we needed before making our way back inside for the wedding breakfast.
Speeches were brilliant. Lots of laughter, a few embarrassing stories and some heartfelt thank yous. It was then over to Phil and the team from Jenkinsons to serve the wedding breakfast.
The evening got under way with the cutting of the cake from Baked by Laura. Then it was onto the dance floor with music and lighting from 1Entertainments.
A great Winter Wedding at Dodford Manor
