Wedding Photography Skylark Farm

Sep 5, 2018 | IN LOVE

Jenna and Chris booked us as for their wedding photography at Skylark Farm more than a year and a half before the date. We were delighted to be part of their day and even more so as at the time we hadn’t photographed at their venue Skylark Farm in Northamptonshire. Their excitement about their venue was clear to see and we went along to have a look in advance of their day and could see what they loved about it. The views were amazing and Sam and Dave who run the venue were passionate about making sure everyone had the perfect day.

Catesby Barn Farm

Jenna stayed at a local cottage, part of Catesby Barn Farm, the night before with her bridesmaid and family. Such a lovely place and so relaxing to get ready at. Our friend Candice Fuller was doing make up and Sarah and Laura from Slave were doing the hair styling. Jenna had a gorgeous dress from Wed2b.

Kev caught up with Chris and his groomsmen at Skylark where he captured some shots of them altogether. They were all in suits from Charles Tyrwhitt. Kev was also able to capture the guests arriving and some lovely moments before the the formalities started.

The venue decor was beautiful. Orange Blossom was responsible for the gorgeous floral displays and bouquets. The ceremony room just looked fab.

Once all inside the ceremony room Jenna arrived and was whisked into the registrars for her meeting leaving a nervous Chris waiting at the end of the aisle. But not for long. There were a few tears as she walked in with her Dad. She really did look stunning. After the ceremony the couple had a moment alone before being led out onto the lawn to have confetti thrown on them before a few drinks and mingling with guests.

We were then able to capture some family photos before taking them away for their couple portraits. There are some hidden gems at Skylark for photos and we loved finding them. When we returned there was fun happening on the zip-wire and the whole atmosphere was so relaxed.

It was then time to go in for the wedding breakfast. The room was perfect with chair covers and sashes from Rainbow Wedding Shop. Jugs of cocktails were on the table, a lovely touch. The beautiful stationery from from Dee at Unique Designs.

Fun and a Magician

After a great meal the evening guests began to arrive and they had magician Chris Webb entertaining everyone. Again everyone was out on the lawn just enjoying the views.

The cutting of the fab cake from Cakes Fabulous Cakes was followed by the traditional first dance. There seemed to be an attraction to the sweet cart too which was provided by Sweet and Scrumptious.

We were lucky to have a great sky as the sun set so we captured a few signature photos for them. Jenna and Chris had said they loved our rain shots however it didn’t rain on the day so we improvised with the help of Dave from Skylark! Only Kev got a little wet!!

The rest of the evening was full of dancing and our photo booth keeping everyone entertained. Massive thanks to Sam, Dave and Jake and the rest of the Skylark team. A beautiful day with a lovely couple.
