Wedding Photography at Hothorpe Hall, what a day!
One of the great things about our job is that we get to meet fantastic people. Not only that we get to see them again at other weddings when we get recommended to family and friends. This wedding was exactly that. Loads of familiar faces and the couple who were tying the knot this time were Hannah and Sam. I think I have lost count how many weddings we have seen them at now so it was brilliant to finally be doing photography for their wedding day at Hothorpe Hall. This is a beautiful manor house near Market Harborough but it is actually in Northamptonshire. It was the first time photographing at the hall itself. We have photographed at the Woodlands part of the venue but never at the hall. It was gorgeous!
Getting Ready Hothorpe Hall
So our fun-filled day began for me at the hall where Hannah was getting ready with her bridesmaids and Mum. Riah-Salon Kinsey was doing hair and it was great to see Beth Hall again who was doing make up. While I was with the girls Kev was with the guys at the couple’s home where they were getting into suits from Albie and Lonnie’s Menswear. They all looked great having had some male grooming at Manhaus in Daventry the day before.
Hannah got into her dress from Wed2B in the bridal suite before her Dad came upstairs to collect her. This would be a good time to mention the decor around the venue. Nerissa Eve Weddings along with florist Bouquet Workshop had done a gorgeous job of ensuring everywhere looked incredible.
Beautiful Wedding Ceremony Photography Hothorpe Hall
Hannah walked down the aisle to music from pianist Joe Pike and the two exchanged vows and rings before making their way out onto the steps for a “just married” photo. The weather was what you could call changeable! So we were outside in between showers for photos. Hetty was set up inside with Ice Cream for everyone including a gin sorbet! Yum!! We also had some visitors in the form of Hannah and Sam’s two gorgeous dogs.
We had the drone up for a big group shot, then a bit of vigorous confetti throwing before Alan Hodge Toastmaster called the guests through for the wedding breakfast and some brilliant speeches. Check out our flower wall behind the top table. Now for the cake….wow! My Little Cake Studio blew Hannah away when she took a peek during bridal prep. It was stunning. So much so the couple really didn’t want to cut it!
The evening entertainment along with sparkly dancefloor and love letters was provided by our friend Rob Lawes Entertainments. He got the dancing underway and we knew from experience that the dancefloor would fill straight after the first dance. The guests were also treated to music by violinist Sally Potterton, our Vintage Photo Booth with a Mexican twist and some Mexican evening food and drink!
A fabulous day which was full of laughter, something we have some to expect from this crowd!
