Wedding Photography Fawsley Hall Post Lockdown

Dec 3, 2020 | IN LOVE

We were booked to do the wedding photography at Fawsley Hall in Northamptonshire for Becks and Grant but they were thrown a curve ball just before their planned wedding date

Covid Weddings

Basically they had got their heads around having 30 people allowed (including registrars and photographers!). Similarly they could also handle not having the party in the evening. However Boris’ announcement at the end of September would have meant them having to cut the guest list yet again. Unless, could we…no surely not…well let’s try…..can we get married this weekend? That is exactly what they did.

Brought the wedding forward a week and boy what a fantastic day it was too!!

Why is Fawsley Hall great for Wedding Photography?

Fawsley Hall is part of the Hand Picked Group of Hotels and is an incredibly beautiful wedding venue. Like the whole of the hospitality and wedding industry it has been threw the ringer this year. But they pulled out all the stops for Becks and Grant. Firstly I met up with Becks in one of the stunning suites in the hotel where she was getting ready.

She had the Hair Pavilion doing hair styling and simultaneously Helen Silver was doing make up. Her stunning dress was from Wed2B and a big shout out to Dawn Bird Bridal Alterations who did a brilliant job. It was lovely to bump into Emma Remington (flowers). We hadn’t seen each other since well before lockdown. Obviously there were no hugs but it was so nice to be able to briefly catch up. The flowers were amazing as always.

While I was with Becks, Kev popped over to Grant who was getting ready with his groomsmen before travelling to the hotel. They all looked great in suits from Charles Tyrwhitt.

Fawsley Hall Civil Ceremony

The ceremony was conducted by the Northamptonshire Registrars. Without a doubt it was lovely to see them too. There were some amusing moments during the ceremony! Afterwards we all made our way outside where they were greeted to cheers and masks could be removed 🙂

During the drinks reception we captured some family photos. Following that there was some time away for couple portraits. Becks and Grant returned to their guests before being welcomed into the wedding breakfast. The room looked lovely with chair sashes and napkins (check them out!) from Make My Day Events, flowers again from Emma and some amazing lit letters…..wow!

Wedding Fireworks

We were able to capture speeches as normal before taking the newly weds outside for a few evening shots. Finally it was time for fireworks from 1st Galaxy Fireworks. As can be seen they rounded off a perfect day.

Thanks Becks and Grant for trusting us to capture your memories for you but also thanks to your guests who made us so welcome. Undoubtedly we love doing wedding photography at Fawsley Hall.

What a year this has been! 2020 will be remembered that is for sure.
