Kilworth House Wedding Photography

Apr 22, 2020 | IN LOVE

So many lovely things about the Kilworth House wedding photography of Sophie and Jason, where to start?

Firstly we knew Sophie as her Dad got married a few years ago. Sophie was a bridesmaid so needless to say there were lots of people we knew at the wedding which we love. Secondly was the venue. We have been the wedding photographer at Kilworth House in Leicestershire. This one was a little different as the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations were in The Staging Post. This is the cosy log cabin which is situated alongside Kilworth House Theatre, a place I have been many times for brilliant nights out.

As a result of this we knew it was going to be fab!

Kev and I were both taking preparation photos at the hotel. Not only that but Sophie had one of the most beautiful suites and was there with her Mum and friends. Lucy Robyn did the hair and make up for them. Her stunning dress from Townhouse Bridal Boutique had pride of place in the room during this time. At the same time Kev captured Jason arriving and got some great photos of him in his Peter Posh suit.

Mehmet was running things for the hotel. Consequently we knew that we were in good hands all day with his organised, friendly and helpful manner

The Orangerie, Kilworth House

The Orangerie looked as beautiful as ever with chair covers by Vintage Fare and gorgeous flowers from By Arrangement.  Leicestershire Registration Service conducted the ceremony. Afterwards, because the weather was finally kind to us after a stormy weekend, we were able to go outside for photos and the drinks reception. Sophie and Jason were delighted about this so we managed to get some gorgeous photos of them mingling with guests.

The Staging Post at Kilworth House

After the drinks, the hotel used their transport to take guests to The Staging Post while we did some couple portraits. I think all the guests loved this! The decor in here had been done by Sophie and Jason themselves. Consequently it looked amazing and so cosy for a winter wedding. A few speeches preceded the fabulous food. Afterwards we made our way back up to the hotel for a few evening photos and then it was time to party. First though was the cutting of the cake by Dilicious Cakes and then finally the first dance with music from Cream.

As a result we had an awesome day where the weather also played ball. It only rained in the evening which meant we could get an umbrella shot!
