Blackwell Grange Wedding

Aug 16, 2018 | IN LOVE, WEDDINGS

Sarah and Hamish contacted us over two and half years ago to book us for their Blackwell Grange Wedding. At the time their venue was a building site but they believed in the vision and it was so worth it. Blackwell Grange is stunning and this gorgeous couple added all their own personalisations to it.

I travelled down to the venue to meet them when they arrived. Candice Fuller was doing make up and Jordan from Mack was doing hair. I also had Ben from BRS Videography starting with me for the bridal preps, always a pleasure to work with. We had lots of laughs throughout the morning. Sarah had her bridesmaids with her and her Mum, who we have known for many years as she leads the Warwickshire Registrars team. All the dresses including Sarah’s beautiful Stella York gown were from Mabel and Maud.

Kev was in Rugby for the start of the day as that was where the guys were all getting ready. They had very smart suits from Peter Posh of Warwick. They then travelled to Shipston to greet guests as they arrived for the ceremony.

Blackwell Grange Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was very much a family affair. Diane, Sarah’s Mum, conducted the ceremony which was so special. She had Dee completing the paperwork for her. Once the legal formalities were complete there was a blessing from Hamish’s Dad.

Once married it was outside for drinks with music from Dan Greenaway who also played in the evening.

There are so many stunning areas to photograph at this venue as it really has been well thought out. We also had a couple (well Sarah!) who loved having their photos taken. We captured the family photos and then took them off for a few couple photos before the wedding breakfast. A lovely little sweet treat was on the tables for everyone, macarons from Maison des Macarons.

The weather was beautiful all day so everyone made their way outside after the speeches to take advantage and we had the opportunity to have some fun with the bridal party and to take the newly weds off for a few more photos. It was then in for the cutting of the elegant cake from Elite Cakes Designs before they took to the floor for the first dance.

We had a sunset so captured that whilst the guests enjoyed having fun with our Luxury Photo Booth.

It was a stunning day full of fun and we loved every minute of our first visit to Blackwell Grange. The couple cannot thank the owners enough for making their day so special.
